PURPOSE:To miniaturize a brake mechanism for banded medium cassette by a method in which a means to move a reel to the axial direction in the face of the reel base, and the combination of the reel and a cassette case is released by a greater force than the means. CONSTITUTION:A reel 2 is pushed toward the direction of separating a pivot 2d from the recession of a gearing 1b by a spring 4 and held by the bearing 1b. Since the force of the spring 4 is smaller than that of the bearing 8, the tip of the pivot 2d comes into contact with the bottom of the recession of the bearing 1b. In this case, the coupling claw 2a of the reel 2 is connected with the claw 5b of a reel base 5. When the base 5 is rotationally driven, the rotation is transmitted to the reel 2 and the ink paper 3 is fed in the cassette case 1. Since the pressing force of the spring 8 is set to greater one than the spring 4, the tip of the pivot 2d is contacted with the bottom of the recession of the bearing 1b, and therefore, the connection of the first coupler 2c of the reel 2 and the second coupler 1c of the case 1 is released. |
