PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality ink sheets which can be smoothly carried without occurrence of curling by a method in which ink is coated on a width of portion whose ends are left uncoated of a wider base material than a desired width and dried, and the unnecessary portions are cut off. CONSTITUTION:A wire winding portion 1a is provided on the inside of the ink trap groove 1b of a metal bar coater 1 having the trap grooves 1b on its both ends. The wire winding portion has the same width as the width A of desired ink sheet. The bar coater 1, a polyester base material 2 wider than a desired width, and a glass plate 3 are set, and a cover is hanged on the whole of the device. Ink is coated only on the desired with A of the base material 2 sent from the sender 5, and the sheet 4 coated with ink is through plural coaters 6, during which period organic solvent is removed out of the ink to form an ink layer. After the ink is dried, unnecessary portions of both ends of the sheet 4 are cut off to form a desired ink sheet. |
