PURPOSE:To vary the width of a cutting edge by dividing a cutting edge for working the groove width into two parts in the longitudinal direction and shifting said two parts with the back surfaces attached with the tapered surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The left and right-side surface cutters 3 and 4 are shifted with each back-surface shifting along the tapered surfaces 2a and 2b of a cutting-edge installation part 2 by turning an adjusting bolt 7, and the cutting-edge width 8 between the cutting-tip of the side surface cutter 3 and the cutting tip of the side-surface cutter 4 is varied. Therefore, when the adjusting positioning for the right and left-side surface cutters 3 and 4 is carried-out for the taper surfaces 2a and 2b of the cutting-edge installation part 2 by the adjusting bolt 7 screwed with a stopper 6, the necessary cutting-edge width dimension 8 can be easily obtained. Therefore, even if the variation of keyway exists, the groove working by a same tool is permitted, and the using efficiency of the tool is improved. |
