PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device having the self-diagnostic function which can cope with abnormal states, by providing a means, which receives the overcurrent signal from a detecting means to cut off a power supply circuit of a rotating body driving means, and a rotation control means of a rotating body. CONSTITUTION:An abnormality detecting circuit detects the overcurrent to a motor 12 and the reverse rotation of the motor 12 as abnormality. The potential difference generated between both ends of a resistance 43 in accordance with the magnitude of the current is impressed across the emitter and the base of a transistor TR44, and the TR44 is turned on when its value exceeds a prescribed value. If the TR44 is turned on by the overcurrent, the collector output is changed from the low level to the high level, and this signal is inputted to a motor controlling CPU31d through a signal line 45 to detect the overcurrent. This overcurrent signal is sent to a relay 42 from an OR gate 46 through a buffer 47 to cut off the power supply circuit of the motor 12. |
