PURPOSE:To enhance the visual confirmability of a display medium by imparting anti-glare function against external light, by forming saw-tooth prisms to the surface of a penetrative plate in a parallel line form. CONSTITUTION:A penetrative plate 14 is arranged to the front surface side of the dial 13 provided to an instrument board 11 for a vehicle as the front surface cover of the instrument board 11. As the penetrative plate 14, a colored transparent plate in used. Prisms 23 each consisting of a vertical surface 20 and an inclined surface and having a saw-tooth cross-sectional shape are continuously formed to the surface part 17 of the penetrative plate 14 in a fine parallel line form so that the ridge lines of the apex parts 20 are directed to a horizontal direction. External light A irradiated from the rear part of a driver 18 is reflected out of a visual field by the inclined surfaces 22 and, therefore, the dial 13 can be well read. Because the light incident from the other direction in external light A and passed through the penetrative plate 14 irradiates the dial 13, the dial 13 can be read from the outside of the penetrative plate 14.
