For the subsequent fitting of an indicating or discharge device to a filled liquid container, a sleeve provided with a drilling tip and inner valve is drilled into the container wall with a portable drill. The sealing rubber surrounding the sleeve is squeezed by tightening a lock nut and seals off the drilled hole from both sides. The inner valve opens when an indicating or discharge device is screwed onto the thread of the drilling valve.
