In an underground silo installation for pulverulent building materials, especially dam building materials, in which the building material is discharged from above onto a continuous conveyor arranged below a horizontal silo and is conveyed via a rising conveying path into a distributor which ejects the building material into a further conveyor, for example into one of a plurality of transmitting containers, provision is made according to the invention for a conveying channel, closed by the underside of the horizontal silo or by a cover, to connect the feed, achieved by upper inlet apertures below the horizontal silo, to the distributor formed by outlet apertures arranged in sequence in the bottom of the channel, and, in the horizontal conveying sections below the silo and the distributor and of the rising conveying path of the conveying channel, for a plurality of oscillating flaps to push the building material ahead of itself on the bottom of the channel in small piles of bulk material, the oscillating flaps being mounted in such a manner between the strands of a single-section twin-strand chain guided on the lateral walls of the channel that they are held in an approximately perpendicular position to the bottom of the channel during the forward movement, by stops, and can swing upwards during a subsequent backward movement, about a horizontal axis located at the top.
