For better clarity and adjustability of the programs, the heating control exhibits a bar-shaped analog display, which is gapless in the individual temperature ranges (3a, 3b), is composed of small discrete individually actuatable single elements (26) of liquid crystals, which display can be incrementally marked in visually different ways by means of keys (23, 24). One key (23) is intended for an increased room temperature, one key (24) for a reduced room temperature and one key (25) for shifting a flashing single element (3c) for correcting the adjustments. The single element (3c) for the flashing display can be intermittently activated by means of a flashing circuit. With a pressure on one of the keys (23, 24, 25), the display shifts by one single element (26, 3c) and when the key is operated for a longer time, it shifts by several single elements (26, 3c) with increasing speed. <IMAGE>
