In main application P 3500384.7 it has been proposed for creation of pest-free surfaces that these surfaces be sonicated. In order to improve the pesticidal effect for humans and animals still further the invention proposes a device which has a sonication and irradiation head (1) on a broom-like handle (2), the ultrasound device of which head (1) can be controlled in its frequency range and which is fitted with a UV irradiation device. The broom-like handle (2) is fastened on one end of a hydraulically operable telescopic arm (4) whose other end is hinged on a carriage (3) provided with drive units (5). <IMAGE>
