PURPOSE:To enable effective use of a display screen of a display apparatus all over the area, by, in accompaniment with inputs of starting point and destination, allowing constantly both points to be displayed symmetrically one opposing to the other on the peripheral part of a display screen with respect to the central position of the screen. CONSTITUTION:From a place name, etc. stored in a position data storing means 1 in which position co-ordinates of the place name, etc. is store preliminarily, starting point and destination of a vehicle are selected and introduced as an output by an input means 6. The apparatus is provided with a display screen 12a and position co-ordinates and on the screen 12a, a display apparatus 12 displaying starting point Ps and destination Pp is installed. Further, for receiving an output from said input means 6 and setting the middle point of starting point and destination on the origin 0 of the co-ordinate system, position co- ordinates of starting point PS and destination PD on the display screen 12a of the display apparatus 12 a calculated by a position co-ordinate calculating means 18 and the image data fed out of the apparatus 18 are displayed on the display apparatus 12 by a display controlling means 22. |
