PURPOSE:To apply magnetic recording technique to a serial printer and make the device small in size by constituting a printing device to enable it to move and scan on a recording paper in the direction at right angles to the direction of feeding of the recording paper, and providing a transferring device on the lower face of the recording paper in the moving the scanning path of the printing device. CONSTITUTION:The recording paper 1 is fed in the direction of arrow mark A, and a printing device 2 using magnetic recording process is provided movably in the direction of arrow mark B at right angles to the direction of feeding of the recording paper 1. A conductive rubber blade 3 for transferring a toner image developed by the device 2 on the recording paper 1 is provided on the lower face of the recording paper 1 on the moving path of the device 2. A magnetic drum 7 in which a magnetic medium layer 6 is formed on a base drum 5 is provided in the device 2, and a latent image is formed in the medium layer by a latent image forming device 8 according to a character pattern. The latent image is developed by toner in a toner supply tube 10, and transferred to the recording paper 1 by applying negative voltage to the blade 8. Then, it is fixed by a fixing roller 4. Thus, it is applied to a serial printer and can be reduced in size. |
