摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an arm drive mechanism which is capable of an extremely high-speed access and also can secure a low-speed operation, by shifting a pickup and a disk at a time and reducing the shift amount of each part. CONSTITUTION:A motor 13 of an arm drive part 10 is driven and an arm rack 11 is actuated via a pinion 12. Then an arm 7 and a pickup 8 are actuated at a high speed along a guide part 6. A solenoid 34 is actuated to turn a rotary lever 32 toward an arrow head C. Then a pinion 22 interlocks a rack 21 of a disk drive part 5 and the part 5 (disk 1) moves opposite to the arm 7. Thus a high-speed access is possible. In a low-speed action mode such as a reproduction mode, etc. the solenoid 34 has no actuation. While the lever 32 is turned toward an arrow head D by the tension of an elastic matter 33 and presses a member 40 to stop the movement of the part 5. At the same time, the pinion 22 is separated from the rack 21 and only the pickup 8 is shifted at a prescribed speed.
