The invention concerns a heat conductor, particularly for flexible heating devices. The object is to create a heat conductor which can be manufactured easily and cheaply, and which has an equal heat distribution over the whole length of the conductor. According to the invention, the method of achieving the object is that a layer of elastic or plastic material, preferably silicone rubber, is applied to a bearing core, a heating wire in helical form is embedded in the surface of this layer to at least a depth equivalent to the diameter of the wire, and an outer insulating layer, preferably of silicone rubber, is arranged over it.
