PURPOSE:To attain the perfect transmission of evacuation information by making the use of the message storing function of an electronic private branch exchange device by providing a fire alarm function to said exchange device. CONSTITUTION:When the break-out of a fire is detected by a fire detector FD210, a signal is sent to a CPU7 via a private branch telephone circuit 3. The CPU7 transmits the continuous call signals to a multi-function telephone 2n via the circuit 3 to inform the break-out of the fire to an operator. When the operator answers the call signals, the CPU7 gives an indication to an acoustic synthesizer VC5 to inform the break-out of the fire and the number of an extension telephone 21 that informed the fire break-out to the operator via a main switch MSW1. The operator understands the situation of the fire and supplies the information on the position of the fire, the routes for evacuation, etc. through the telephone 2n. Then these information are stored to a message storage. VM4. The CPU7 starts an external speaker device BC6 as soon as the telephone 2n is hooked off. Then the information on the evacuation read out of the VM4 are synthesized by the VC5 and broadcasted repeatedly through a speaker 61. |
