PURPOSE:To facilitate arrangement of stacked bills by contacting the bills against a stopper at the end of carrying path and if the bills have not been arranged, advancing another stopper into the carrying path between the stopper and reciprocating the bill between the stoppers. CONSTITUTION:The bill is carried while being held by the belts 3, 5 to contact against a stopper 7 at the end of carrying path 1 and arranged. Bill stopping means 10 will pull up the stopper 9 through a spring 11 and upon delivery form the carrying path 1, the bill can be passed through the underside to function a magnet 12 when arranging the bills thus to advance the stopper 9 to the carrying path 1 and to contact the retracting bill against the stopper 1. A decision circuit 13 will decide complete overlap of bills on the basis of a signal 8a from a photodetector 8 and if said detector 8 will continue detection even upon elapse of predetermined time, a signal 13a is produced to rotate a motor 6 reversely thus to retract the bill at the underside of a pusher 15 and to contact against the stopper 9 for predetermined time. Then the motor is rotated forward to contact the bill against a stopper 7 and arranged.
