PURPOSE:To enable to traverse a longish and heavyweight item anywhere in a flat floor, by lifting up the long and heavy item with a pair of traverse trucks and moving the truck in the direction different from the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A traverse truck is formed by arranging 4 or more driving carts 14a and 14b with a lifting system to lift and lower the longish and heavy weight item A such as a car, and a steering system to traverse the long and weight item A to a given position, to a truck frame 17 with running wheels 15 driven by a driving unit 20. By using at least 2 pair of traverse trucks, each pair consisting of two traverse trucks, on a flat place for traverse operation, the long and heavy item A on the ground is lifted high enough to traverse and moved in the direction different from the longitudinal direction by the driving power of the carts, to traverse the car A, a long and heavy item, from one to another track.
