A cooled light housing for a fluorescent tube (12), particularly for incorporation in the illumination system of food display equipment, comprises an extruded section (1) for example of aluminium, having ducts (8,9,10,11) defined by internal partitions of the extruded section (1). The extruded section (1) is provided with end closures, and adjacent ducts (8,9: 10,11; 9,10;) are coupled at respective ends of the extruded section by gaps formed between the partition walls 5,7,6, and the respective end closure, so that the ducts are connected in series to form a fluid circulation system.
