PURPOSE:To prevent damage even if a man hits against a mirror or a stay which is projected out by providing a clutch which releases the hold of said stay when external force above a certain value is applied to said stay which supports said mirror. CONSTITUTION:The stay 4 of a mirror is nearly horizontally rotatable. The stay 4 is connected to an output gear 6d of a driving device 6 via a clutch 8. When a man or a thing hits against the mirror or stay 4 applying a turning force exceeding a pull-out torque which is determined by the strength of springs 8d, 8e, the steel balls 8b of the clutch 8 come off from engaging holes 8a releas ing engagement, and the stay 4 rotates to reduce injury or damage of the man or thing. |
