PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic capable of keeping high dispersion stability for a long period, by using hydroxypropyl hydroxyethyl cellulose as a stabilizer, and adding the stabilizer to pyrithione zinc useful as a dandruff preventive. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic is produced by adding 0.1-10wt% hydroxypropyl hydroxyethyl cellulose as a stabilizer to a cosmetic containing preferably 0.25-5wt% pyrithione zinc [bis(2-pyridylthio-1-oxide) zinc] useful as a dandruff preventive. The hydroxypropyl hydroxyethyl cellulose used as a stabilizer is a mixed cellulose ether obtained by reacting an alkali cellulose with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. EFFECT:The precipitation and dispersion of the pyrithione zinc powder during storage can be prevented and excellent antibacterial property and dandruff- preventing effect can be achieved. |
