PURPOSE:To remove the trouble of shifting between two-wheel driving and four-wheel driving by detecting the traveling condition of a car with a rotary sensor and a torque sensor and making automatic shifting control between two-wheel driving and four-wheel driving. CONSTITUTION:A rotation sensor 8R(8F) for rear (front) wheel and a torque sensor 9R(9F) for rear (front) wheel, are installed to a rear- (front-) wheel driving shaft 5(7). The output signals of these sensors are inputted into comparison circuits 10, 11 which compare both the speeds of rotation and torques with each other, and certain differences detected are inputted into a microprocessor 12, which, in turn, sends out a controlling signal to a solenoid valve 13, to make driving control of an actuator which connects and disconnects a shifting clutch 6, to carry out the shifting between two-wheel driving and four-wheel driving.
