PURPOSE:To reduce the oscillation in rear wheels or to improve the control performance and the stability by providing rear wheel suspension characteristics altering means which alters the suspension characteristics for the rear wheels by the judgement of judging means. CONSTITUTION:An air suspension 3 is composed of a shock absorber 3a, a main air chamber 3b, a sub-air chamber 3c and an actuator 3d. Signals from vehicle height sensors 1, 2 and a vehicle speed sensor 250 are input to a ECU300 to process its data, and it outputs a driving signal to the actuators 3d-6d of the air suspensions 3-6, levelling valves 151-154, the motor 200a of a supplying and exhausting system 200 for compressed air and a solenoid valve 200e. In the case that the displacement exceeds given value, the suspension characteristics for rear wheels is altered by communicating the main air chambers 3b, 4b and the sub-air chambers 3c, 4c by means of the actuation of actuators 3d, 4d to lower a spring constant. |
