PURPOSE:To produce a pair glass preventing the generation of defective unit, by including a step to fill a gas while pressing and bonding a plurality of glass plates, in the process for the bonding of plural glass plates interposing spacers therebetween. CONSTITUTION:The spacer 2 coated with the primary sealing compound 4 is attached to a glass plate, and another glass plate 1 is bonded thereto. A nozzle acting as a gas port 6 is attached during the pressing operation and a gas is filled in the space between the glass plates. The air in the space is discharged to the outer atmosphere through the port 6. The above gas-injection process is carried out simultaneously to the pressing for the bonding of the glass plates. The pressing is continued until the inner pressure in the pair glass reaches atmospheric pressure. After the completion of press, the gas port 6 is sealed, and the whole circumference of the pair glass is filled with a secondary sealing compound to obtain the objective pair glass. |
