PURPOSE:To make reliable physical and chemical measurements of long material through commercial instruments by suspending dancer rolls from long material in travelling direction while functioning the instruments during stoppage of long material due to function of a brake system arranged in the way. CONSTITUTION:Upon function of drivers for brake rolls 6, 7 to close a solenoid valve 19 thus to function pneumatic pressure against the rolls 6, 7 thus to stop travelling of long material 1 through the intermediate section, (a) contact 16a of limit switch will close to supply power to a timer 20 and a relay 21 thus to disengage a clutch thereby a sprocket 9 will rotate freely to loosen the intermediate section of the long material 1 thus to lower the dancer roll 4 from A to B while to lift the dancer roll 5 from C to D. Here (a) contact 14a of the limit switch is opened but the relay 21 is fed with power to close the normal-open contact 21a thereby the instrument 3 is under operating condition resulting in reliable measurement of physical and chemical features of long material 1 under stoppage.
