PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of a battery for a memory card by supplying an operating voltage to a memory part only from the electric power source device of a controller when said card is connected to the controller and supplying the voltage from the battery when the memory card is detached from the controller. CONSTITUTION:When the memory card 10 is not connected to the controller, the battery 5 supplies the operating voltage Vdd to a switch circuit part 1 through a diode D3, and simultaneously supplies the operating voltage to the memory part 3 through a diode D4 connected to the output of a NOR circuit 23. When the memory card is connected to a control circuit, an electric power source voltage V0 from the controller is supplied to the memory card 10 through an electric power source terminal V. This voltage is supplied to the memory part 3 through a diode D1. If the card is not connected, a signal supplied to terminal s R and S can inhibits supply of the operating voltage from the batter 5 to the memory part 3. |
