PURPOSE:To facilitate management of accuracy of processing and assembly by forming a sliding type throttle valve in a variable venturi valve carburetor with a first stage throttle valve which opens at first from the state of all valves fully closed and a second stage throttle valve which opens after said valve is opened. CONSTITUTION:A mixing chamber 3 is provided in a direction perpendicular to an intake air path 2 in a carburetor body 1, and a sliding type intake air throttle valve 4 including first and second stage throttle valves 5, 6 in combination is elevatably inserted into said mixing chamber 3. The first stage throttle valve 5 is shaped into a square cylinder, and a variable fuel measuring device is constructed by inserting a jet needle 7 suspended down from the bottom wall 15 of said first stage throttle valve into a needle jet 8 provided in a venturi part 10. The second stage throttle valve 6 is reverse L-shaped, and elevatably inserted into an insertion hole 35 formed in said bottom wall 15, and a main system venturi forming part 32 is provided only on the throttle valve 6, while said variable fuel measuring device is adapted to respond only to opening and closing displacement of the same valve 6. |
