PURPOSE:To take an accurate measurement regardless of distance and even if a target slants by fitting a wide-area reflecting sheet which has numbers of fine reflecting parts on the periphery of a photodetection target and emitting a light wave to it. CONSTITUTION:Numbers of fine prisms 11 are arranged to form the reflecting sheet 1. This reflecting sheet 1 is formed preferably by cutting fine prisms 11 consisting of fine uneven surfaces by micro engineering work technique or sticking an infinite number of glass-made beads of about 50mum size on a film or used a corner cube array. This reflecting sheet 1 is spread and stuck on the periphery of the photodetection target 2 to reflect the light wave irradiated toward the photodetection target 2. Consequently, sufficient reflected light is obtained, so the range measurement precision is improved.
