LIQUID-GAS SEPARATOR APPARATUS

Liquid-gas separator to separate the gas from the oil, consists of an elongaged hub which is coupled to a rotatable shaft. A first part of the hub is fitted with screw turns to act as a worm conveyor. A second part with axial blades represents a centrifugal separator and the blades of the latter are joined to the turns of the former by smooth transition segments. This separates the gas and oil effectively even at a high volumetric gas-to-oil ratio. It is a compact design which can be produced at lower cost.
