PURPOSE:To prevent engine stall from being produced by providing correction means for temporally increasing fuel supplied to an engine upon detecting switching of a gear range of an automatic speed chamber from the neutral position to a power transmission position. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle where an output from an internal combustion engine is transmitted to car wheels via an automatic speed changer equipped with a torque converter, a solenoid valve 17 is, in an ordinary engine operation, switched on and off at a prescribed frequency by means of a control circuit 20, whereby an air-fuel ratio of mixture gas is controlled. In addition, respective film allocation to the on/off switching is altered in response to an output from an O2 sensor 23. Thereupon, a select switch 26 is provided, while said switch detects a fact that the select lever 25 of the automatic speed changer is switched from N range to D or R range. Air-fuel ratio feedback control is stopped when said switch 26 is turned on, and a ratio of the off time of the solenoid valve 17 is increased by prescribed time for correcting an increase of the fuel. |
