PURPOSE:To contrive to simplify the manufacturing process and to reduce the residual distortion inside the material by a method wherein an alloy ingot is hot-rolled and cold-rolled, then slit-cut into cold rolled materials before finish rolling, annealed for softening, and finish-rolled in cold to the thickness of the titled material. CONSTITUTION:As the alloy for this material, Ni-Fe alloy, Ni-Co-Fe alloy, and Cu series alloy can be used. The Ni-Fe alloy has the minimum coefficient of thermal expansion in the case of Ni 36%, and so as Ni content of 30-35% is used. For example, a 42% Ni-Fe alloy ingot is hot-forged and then hot- and cold-rolled into an intermediate rolled band plate, and this band plate is slit-cut into the plate width almost equal to the width dimension of the lead frame material. Then, this slit plate is continuously annealed and then cold finish-rolled into a lead frame material without distortion. Thus, the lead frame material of uniform cross-sectional dimension can be produced with less internal distortion. |
