PURPOSE:To obtain a ventilator whose degree of smeared condition on a filter can be seen from the outside of a duct, by forming a window to look into the filter in a duct, as well as to provide a visor to a smoke induction opening. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning time or the changing time of a filter 43 is judged by exposing a window 56 by removing a visor 46 fitted to a duct 38, and by oberving the degree of smear on the filter 43 through the window 56. It is not necessary to remove the filter 43 from the position in particular, and correct judgement can be given on the smeared condition. The visor 46 is positioned outside the duct 38 to serve as a guide for oily smoke. It is most easy to become smeared, and is easily seen by an operator, so that it is cleaned very often. The filter 43 can be seen every time when the visor 46 is removed and cleaned, so that maintenance for the filter 43 can certainly be taken place without fail. Because the window 56 is covered with the visor 46, smoke cannot escape from the window 56 of a duct 38 at the time when a ventilating fan is used in a usual manner.
