PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of an expensive ferroalloy used when powder or granules for regulating conditions in a blast furnace are blown from a tuyere of the furnace, by using a crushed nonferrous metallic oxide as the powder or granules. CONSTITUTION:A crushed nonferrous metallic oxide as an Ni, Cr or Mn source is charged into a starting material hopper 4, sent to a transport pipe 10 through an intermediate tank 5 and a pressure sending tank 6, and blown into a blast furnace 1 from a blowing nozzle 11. At this time, pulverized coal is preferably sent from the hopper 7 to the pipe 10 through an intermediate tank 8 and a pressure sending tank 9 so as to prevent the wear of the starting material feeding system by the nonferrous metallic oxide. Since inexpensive nonferrous metallic oxide is used, an inexpensive product can be obtd. |
