PURPOSE:To enable a slip to be printing through manual insertion, by a construction wherein an ink ribbon is paid out from a ribbon holder so as to intersect with an extension surface of a platen surface, is extended along a head moving passage over a printing region of a printing head, is reversed with respect to the direction thereof at an end part of the printing region, and is again returned to the end of the head moving passage. CONSTITUTION:The ink ribbon 26 paid out from take-up and rewinding ribbon holders 24-1, 24-2 intersects with the extension surface of the surface of the platen 14 at the right end in the moving direction of the printing head 18, is deflected through a shaft 58 extended from a ribbon plate 56 at the right end, is extended over the printing region of the head 18 to the left end of the moving direction of the head 18, where it is reversed by a shaft 60 extended from the plate 56, and is again extended along the moving passage of the head 18 to be returned to the right end in the moving direction of the head 18. Namely, a ribbon route is provided in a hairpin shape. |
