PURPOSE:To reduce wearing of a guide bush due to its uneven contact with a piston rod while decrease a load applied to a lip of an oil seal so as to prevent its wearing, by forming a rod guide hole almost in a hand drum shape with only the side of its upper end part in a large internal diameter. CONSTITUTION:A rod guide 5 provides a hole 6 to be drilled, and the hole 6 forms its internal peripheral surface almost in a hand drum shape with its central part in a small internal diameter while only its upper end part in a large internal diameter. While a guide bush 7 is also formed corresponding to the internal peripheral surface of said hole 6 almost in a hand drum shape with its central part in a small internal diameter while only its upper end part in a large internal diameter. Accordingly, a shock absorber, reducing an extent of uneven contact of the peripheral surface of a piston rod 4 with the upper end part of the guide bush 7 while decreasing also a load applied to an oil seal 8, decreases also the possibility in connection with the leakage of oil due to wearing of the oil seal 8. |
