PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of noise during warming-up and to enable rapid heating of a car room, by a method wherein a means, discriminating the warming-up state of an engine, is located, and an electric heater, located in the vicinity of the heater core of a heater for vehicle and being the load of a generator, is energized during warming-up. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is not warmed up and the cooling water temperature of an engine is low, the output voltage of a cooling water temperature sensor 3 of an engine is low, and the output voltage of a comparator 4 is increased to an 'H' level. As a result, a transistor 6 is turned ON, and relay 7 is actuated to close a normally-opened contact 7a. In this case, an electric heater 8 is energized, the output current of a generating heat 2 is increased and the driving torque of the engine is also increased, and thereby the number of the engine is decreased and production of noise is decreased. Further, since an engine load is increased, warming-up of the engine is promoted, a warming-up time is shortened, and a car room is rapidly heated through utilization of the heat of the electric heater 8. |
