PURPOSE:To prevent a coincidence with the transmission period of another radar and to prevent an error in detection by generating a single-pulse signal as a sent pulse signal and providing its transmitting part with a random code generating part which varies the pulse transmission period irregularly. CONSTITUTION:The single-pulse signal from a light emitting element 5 is received by a photodetector 6, and a range measurement arithmetic part 10 detects the time from the transmission to the reception, thereby calculating the distance to the target. In this case, the random code generating part 2 is provided in the circuit which transmits the single-pulse signal and the transmission period of the single-pulse signal transmitted from the light emitting element 5 is varied irregularly. Consequently, when the transmitter faces another pulse radar, a pulse signal sent out of the opposite radar is never detected as the reflected signal. |
