PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption and also to reduce the generation of heat from a device by powering on a standard time generating circuit only in a period from right before to right after the expected time of standard time casting reception, and making a standard time correction. CONSTITUTION:A clock generating circuit 1 generates a basic clock signal Qm, a leading correction clock signal Qf, and a delay correction clock signal Q6 and after a selecting circuit 3 selects a necessary signal, the selected clock signal is counted by a counting circuit 4 to output time information Q. A circuit 2 which receives standard time casing and generates the standard time is provided and the difference between the standard time S and time information Q is detected by a time error detecting and correcting circuit 5 to control the selecting circuit 3 according to the result. At this time, a power-on circuit 6 is fitted to a standard time generating circuit 2 to turn on the electric power source only about at the reception expected time of the standard time. |
