PURPOSE:To make it possible to position pinions on spherical seat surfaces accurately, by inserting pinion shafts into a differential case along the radial direction of this differential case, setting them crosswise, and supporting the pinions with these pinion shafts. CONSTITUTION:Holes 4a-4d and coaxial spherical seats 6a-6d are formed on four points on the circumference of the cylindrical part of a differential case 3, at intervals of angle of 90 deg.. In case of setting pinions and pinion shafts, pinions 2a-2d and a supporting body 10 are set in the differential case 3 previ ously, as they have preset positional relations with each other. After that, pinion shafts 11-13 are inserted into the differential case 3 from the outside along the radial direction of this differential case 3, and set fixedly with pins 14. In this way, the pinions are positioned on the spherical seat surfaces accurately.
