<p>The invention provides an apparatus for removing gaseous components and/or solid impurities present in a gaseous fluid flow which comprises a frame structure, a fluid flow inlet connector, disposed within the frame structure, a scrubber means, an exit connector for carrying off the purified fluid flow, and a connector for introducing scrubbing liquid into the means and contacting it with the fluid flow. The scrubbing liquid exit flow has been disposed to pass through the fluid flow inlet connector in opposite direction with reference to the fluid flow. The end region adjacent to the scrubber means of the fluid flow inlet connector has a diminishing cross sectional diameter to the purpose of accelerating the flowing fluid flow before the fluid flow enters the scrubber means. The inlet connector is provided with holes which have been adapted to receive into the inlet connector the return flow of the scrubbing liquid. The holes have been disposed in that region of the inlet connector where the flow of the fluid flow is not accelerated, whereby the scrubbing liquid return flow within the inlet connector is prevented from being entrained with the fluid flow and produces pre-purification of the fluid flow.</p> |
