PURPOSE:To remove efficiently the protein sticking to a lens by compounding an anionic surface active agent such as alkyl benzene sulfonate and a reducing agent such as sulfite thereby preparing a cleaner for the contact lens. CONSTITUTION:The cleaner for the contact lens is prepd. by mixing 0.1-50wt% the anionic surface active agent such as alkyl benzene sulfonate, alkane sulfonate, olefin sulfonate or alkyl sulfate and 0.01-20wt% the reducing agent such as sodium borohydride cysteine, cysteine sulfate, dithiothreitol or dithioerythritol. A suitable buffer and stabilizer can be compounded with such cleaner. The cleaner is usually manufactured into a product in the form of a liquid using an aq. solvent and may be made into a powdered or solid product as well. |
