发明名称 VARIABLE WEIGHT FLYWHEEL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable wasteful consumption of energy to be prevented when a rotary speed is changed, by utilizing a characteristic of magnetic fluid so as to change weight of a flywheel and enabling the weight of the flywheel, being left as in a rotary condition, to be variably controlled. CONSTITUTION:If circulated magnetic fluid 30 is excited by electrifying an electromagnetic coil 23, the magnetic field is generated in a tank 22, and a magnetic material in the fluid 30 receives attractive force, causing the magnetic material in the tank 22 to be deflectively distributed. Thus a flywheel, returning to an outer shell 11 the magnetic fluid decreasing magnetic material density, decreases moment of inertia by a corresponding degree if a rotary speed is equal. While the flywheel, when its moment of inertia is increased, only requires the electromagnetic coil 23 to be demagnetized. Accordingly, wasteful consumption of energy is prevented when the rotary speed is changed.
