PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for change of the software by preparing all programs in response to functions of plural remote I/O units and selecting one with a switch and using it. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit (CPU) of a programmable controller (PC) reads and executes sequentially a program stored in a memory. An initializing processing section 11 applies initializing processing S1 of the PC at first after the start. Then the type of each remote I/O set to a switch provided to a printed board of each remote I/O in the step S2 of a selection section 12 is read. The type is compared in the steps S3, 4, 5 and type processings S4, S6, S8 provided in a remote I/O processing section 13 are executed depending on the corresponding type. |
