PURPOSE:To increase the yield, by containing a body to be molded between two opposed grooves formed in the inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical outer mold that will be fitted on an inner piece and each outer circumferential surface of abutting sections of half bodies of the inner piece. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing cloth 30 is pinched between major surfaces of a pair of platelike resilient members 28, 29 to form a body 31 to be molded. The lateral opposite sides of the reinforcing cloth 30 are extended from the platelike resilient members 28, 29. The abutting section outer circumferential surfaces of two half bodies 34, 35 constituting an inner piece 36 are formed with annular grooves 38, and the inner circumferential surface of the outer mold 37 is formed with other grooves 39 to oppose to the groves 38. The grooves 28 and 39 cooperatively form a molding space, and a carburetor insulator 21 is vulcanized and molded in the molding space. The parts of the reinforcing cloth 30 that are extended from the major surfaces are pinched and fixed between the outer circumferential surface of the inner piece 36 and the inner circumferential surface of the outer mold 37, so that the reinforcing cloth will not be displaced during the vulcanization and molding. |
