PURPOSE:To enable full automation of measurement, by arranging a cell holder capable of holding a plurality of sample cells, a driving means for the cell holder, a position detecting means and a control means. CONSTITUTION:Among sample cells 2A-2C, for example, the cell 2B is made bland and desired samples are put into the cells 2A and 2C. When a start button of a control means 9 is pressed, a motor 4 is driven to position the cell 2B in a measuring luminous flux. The results obtained under such a condition are memorized into the control means 9 as background spectrum. Upon the end of the bland measurement, the motor 4 is driven again to position one of the cells 2A and 2C, for example, the cell 2C based on a signal from a position detecting means 8 into the measuring luminous flux and the spectrum of the desired sample is measured. The resulting spectrum signal is fed to the means 9 to determine the absorption spectrum thereof. Likewise, the spectrum of the desired sample in the cell 2A is measured to determined the differential spectrum between the desired samples. |
