CAT FOOD COMPOSITION

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition effective to prevent the health disturbance and trophopathy of cat, by adding the cell of microorganism of Mortierella genus containing an oil or fat containing gamma-linoleic acid. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Mortierella genus and capable of producing lipid having high gamma-linoleic acid content (e.g. Mortierella isabellina) is cultured in a hydrocarbon medium or a molasses medium, etc. to obtain the cell of Mortierella containing 20-50wt% oil or fat containing gamma-linoleic acid. The microbial cells are added to a cat food in an amount to give a gamma- linoleic acid content of 0.01-1.0wt%.
