PURPOSE:To smoothly move a pickup arm by attaching a rope to an arm base through a spring. CONSTITUTION:A spring 8 is connected to a rope 7 by means of a rope and a spring connecting parts 9. The spring 8 and the connecting parts 9 are accommodated between an arm base 6 and a stopper 6b and the other section of the spring 8 is attached to a spring attaching section 6a disposed on the arm base 6. A pickup arm 5 moves straight linearly along a guide rail 10. The movement of the rope 7, thereby is softened without smoothness by the spring 8. The movement of the pickup arm 5 and the arm base 6 is an average of the movement of the rope 7. Even when a whole length of the spring 8 is extended by a load during the movement of the pickup arm, the connecting parts strike against the stopper for a certain amount and the spring is not extended more than that.
