PURPOSE:To relieve a person to be inspected of a pain with the reduced inspection time of a sample, by applying a series of continuous high frequency magnetic field pulses containing a gradient magnetic field sequentially to the sample to take a plurality of NMR images simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A system control section 11 is connected to a frequency synthesizer 9 to allow the application of a frequency control signal thereto for the generation of pulse trains as illustrated. Then, a pi pulse is applied with the resonance frequency of 6.375MHz corresponding to the first slicing position. A pi pulse is applied with the resonance frequency of 6.3763MHz corresponding to the second slicing position. Likewise, a pi pulse is applied with the resonance frequency of 6.3776MHz corresponding to the third slicing position and a pipulse done with the resonance frequency of 6.3789MHz corresponding to the fourth slicing position. In this manner, high frequency magnetic field pulses are applied sequentially to take a plurality of NMR images simultaneously thereby relieving a person to be inspected of a pain with a reduced inspection time of the sample.
