PURPOSE:To enable the drying of large amount of noodles, etc. without necessitating a wide drying space, by lifting the object to be dried such as noodles having a definite width under gyration using a string or a chain, and lowering the object under gyration, thereby carrying out the drying under the motion along transversal and vertical directions. CONSTITUTION:One end of the drying object-holding device 7 is supported by a string or a chain at the lower end of the ascension conveyer 15 in the drying chamber 13 furnished with a dehumidifier and a dry air circulation fan 17. The drying object having a width of (t), e.g. noodle 12, is suspended from the horizontal short lever 11 of the drying object-holding device 7, lifted from the wheel 2 of one end to the wheel 3 of the other end by the string or the chain 4, and turned round the wheel 3 to the wheel 2. The above procedure is repeated to effect the gyrative ascension of the object along the conveyer 5, and the object is transferred from the top wheel 2 to the wheel 2' attached at the top of the discending conveyer 6, turned round the wheel 2', lowered toward the wheel 3' of the other end, and turned round the wheel 3'. The procedure is repeated until the object reaches the bottom wheel 2', when the (semi)dried noodle 12 is taken out of the apparatus in the cource by moving from the bottom wheel 2' to the wheel 2 of the conveyer 5. |
