PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a molded article for optical use by forming the article from (co) polymer consisting of structural units A, B expressed by specified chemical formulas, wherein the number of mole of the structural unit A in the total number of mole of A+B is regulated to above a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A molded article for optical use is formed of a specified polycar bonate resin consisting of structural unit A expressed by the formula I and structural unit B expressed by the formula II. The number of mole of the struc tural unit A in the total number of mole of A+B is regulated to >=5%, and the number of mole of B in A+B is regulated to <95%. Thus, the product has extremely small by refringence, high heat resistance, and resistance to moisture resulting quite small warp. So the product is useful for several instruments for optoelectronics, etc., particularly, for substrate for optical disc and substrate of transparent electrode for display. |
