PURPOSE:To obtain a toner superior in fixability, storage stability, and life by using as the resin component of the toner an epoxy resin having an epoxy equiv. in a prescribed range and contg. a prescribed amt. of colloidal silica powder having OH groups on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic dry toner composed essentially of a dye or pigment, such as carbon black, and resin, contains as the resin component, the bisphenol type epoxy resin having an epoxy equiv. of 500-5,000 contg. a colloidal silica powder having OH groups on the surface in an amt. of 5-50wt% of the epoxy resin, thus permitting the toner to be prevented from fusion adhesion to the surface of a carrier due to friction between the toner and the carrier when used for the developer, and to be reduced in deterioration due to cracking and breaking of the toner by filling the inside of the toner with the silica, and freed of toner staining to a polyvinyl chloride sheet. |
