PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an optical multiplexer demultiplexer by exposing end surfaces of respective optical fibers connecting with an optical multiplexing demultiplexing part while they are arrayed on an end surface of a resin molding body, and making a batch connection with lead optical fibers by a multicore optical connector. CONSTITUTION:The 1st, the 2nd, and the 3rd optical fiber array bodies 11, 12, and 13 consisting of optical fibers 11a-11d, a-12d, and 13a-13d are embedded in a resin mold while arrayed at specific intervals and end surfaces of the optical fibers 11a-11d, 12a-12d, and 13a-13d are exposed to end surfaces 11e and 11f, 12e and 12f, and 13e and 13f of the array bodies 11, 12, and 13. Then, the respective end surfaces 11f, 12f, and 13f are cut at 45 deg. and set abutting to form branch parts 15a-15d, thereby assembling a T-shaped optical multiplexer demultiplexer 10. The optical multiplexer dimultiplexer 10 is connected to the multicore optical connector 22 and then the optical fibers 11a-11d are connected to the lead optical fibers 21a-21d at a time. |
